Welcome
to the web site of
Tintagel
Surf Life Saving Club.
We are
a small club in North Cornwall with our members coming from the area
of Tintagel, Delabole, Camelford, Boscastle and St Teath.
The club is a registered charity and run by a band of dedicated volunteers,
led by our club chairman, Les Freke, who has been involved in surf life
saving since the early seventies, being a Beach lifeguard, Instructor,
and Examiner within the Cornish region.
Where
are we?
The
club is located a couple of miles to the south of Tintagel at Trebarwith
Strand which is the local surfing beach.
As
you look through the website, you can see that Tintagel has a small
stony beach beneath the Castle Island, unsuitable for surfing.
Trebarwith Strand is well known to surfers and holiday makers, and has been patrolled
by our club and the Lifeguards for many years
Club
Meetings
The club is meeting at the Clubhouse every week on Friday evenings
at 6:00pm for the Nippers, and on Sundays at 11:00am for the Youths
and
Seniors.
If
any parents would like to join in on the beach this year and help
with the Nipper meetings on Friday evenings, or the Junior
meetings
on Sunday
mornings,
please let us
know - it would be great to have more adults involved with the club
- and we have a lot of fun, you will enjoy it. You could even learn
some cool things!

Although the forecast
is for Constantine/Polzeath, the surf
conditions are pretty similar to Trebarwith Strand.
