She has now decided to let someone else have a crack at the job
she has done for the last 8 years.
Membership
Fees 2010
As explained in a letter sent out to our members, the club fees
for 2010 have been increased to cover the increase to the club
of fees paid to Surf Life Saving UK.
We have also included an element in the fee for the cost of one
award per person as we are promoting the taking of awards
at all levels.
The new fees will be;
Nippers/Juniors (up to 18yrs) - £30
Seniors - £35 - to include
the cost of one award from- Resuscitation (3 grades), surf competency,
board competency, ski competency, patrol award.
Family - (2 seniors and 2 nippers or 1 senior
and 3 nippers) - £110
Our fees are still the cheapest in Cornwall, and we do not have
weekly fees for taking part.
It is possible to spread the cost of the fees.
Tintagel SLSC hosted ...
..a friendly competition for the Nippers between ourselves and
the other North Cornwall clubs, Crackington, Polzeath and
Harlyn Bay.
The event went very well with everyone a winner! All the Nippers
who took part had a certificate to show they had done well.
There were the usual events such as wading races, board races,
running and beach flags, but we also ended with a Tug
of War using our huge cliff rope stretching
across the beach where everyone took part - great fun.
The barbie at the end of the day was also a success thanks to
the efforts of some of the parents.
Although I have a lot of pictures of some of the beach events,
it seems everyone's camera battery went flat, so I haven't got
any pickies of the beach flags or the Tug of War. So, if anyone
has some could you please let me know...
